Technique Records just announced its annual Record Store Day (RSD) event, set to take place on April 20, 2024. This year promises to be an unforgettable celebration of music, community, and vinyl culture.
Record Store Day has long been a highlight for Technique Records. It consistently draws between 500-700 music enthusiasts through its doors. This year, attendees can look forward to accessing exclusive RSD releases. They can delve into crates of rare finds, and minglewith both local and national artists.
Adding to the festivities, Technique Records will be hosting a live episode of The Making Of podcast. It’s produced in collaboration with local publication Too Much Love Magazine. The Making Of is a new series that explores the stories behind iconic albums of the past 40 years. Hosted by Flor Frances, a seasoned music journalist and Miami New Times contributor, the podcast digs deep into the social context and anecdotes that shaped these records. For the RSD special episode, guests Arthur Baker and John Stanier (Battles/Helmet) will join Frances for an engaging discussion. The episode will be hosted live at Technique Records and streamed on Jolt Radio.
Confirmed DJ sets for the 2024 RSD event include the above-mentioned musicians plus Angelica Rose, Romulo del Castillo (Schematic), and Rum & Coke (Harold & Kumi). Attendees can also anticipate record signings, enjoy food and drinks, and perhaps even a surprise appearance or two.
