The announcement came as Florida continues to post staggering numbers of positive COVID tests, increased hospitalizations, along with over 100 deaths a day attributed to COVID-19.
Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship between Ohio State and Alabama will host 16,000 people, many of which will have travelled from out of state to attend the game. As a point of comparison, the semifinal played in New Orleans was limited to 8,000 fans in the stands.
Tuesday morning all those fans will be able to be tested for COVID-19 at Hard Rock Stadium when they reopen the testing site.
