If you’re reading this blog, you’re probably already aware what Jitney Books is all about, showcasing Miami writers writing about Miami. We’ve so far put out 14 books by 11 different local authors. We’re pleased to announce there is now a Jitney Books section at Sir Thrifty Vintage Boutique located in The Citadel at 8300 NE 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33138.
To celebrate we’re going to have the first ever Jitney Talent Show at The Citadel on Friday, February 23 from 7 to 10 pm. Jitney contributors will each have their turn at the microphone and the stage where they will be free to sing, play an instrument whether musical or otherwise, recite a poem, read a story, or ride a unicycle while juggling chainsaws.
We’re aiming for a fun literary evening. We hope you can make it out to this event that is completely free and open to the public.
