Sunday, July 26, 2026 was a magical night for all that stepped foot in the Little Haiti dive bar landmark, Churchill’s Pub. It was the site of the first (and hopefully) annual Jitney Fundraiser concert. The evening that went into the early morning featured eight local bands including Alexa Lash, Ainara, Eddy Gatoe, Nick County, Oscar Sardiñas, Tremora, Chunky 43, and Mr. Entertainment & The Pookiesmackers. The festivities were hosted by local comedy legend Paula Barros and was attended by the greatest gang any South Florida book publishing house/ literary website could ever ask for. Thank you for all those wonderful people that hopped aboard The Jitney!
