Miami, brace yourselves, or don’t, for Tyler, the Creator’s arrival at the Kaseya Center in Miami – a spectacle guaranteed to either revolutionize your concert expectations or leave you utterly bewildered.
Expect a meticulously curated chaos, a sonic and visual assault that may or may not make sense, but will definitely be loud, and probably expensive. Think of it as performance art, but with more bass and questionable fashion choices echoing through the arena’s vast space.
The arena will shake like an 8.3 on the Richter Scale.
Time to shake what your daddy gave ya.
Tyler’s last show in Miami was March 20, 2022, two years ago, and our colleague at The Jitney reviewed it for Miami New Times.
Tyler, the Creator Miami Preview
Tyler’s live show, a blend of his discography’s highs and lows, promises a journey through his ever-evolving, sometimes questionable, artistic phases.
Expect anything from the raw energy of “Yonkers” to the smooth, soulful vibes of “EARFQUAKE,” and perhaps even the theatrical storytelling of “LUMBERJACK.”
Visually, think elaborate stage designs, lighting that might induce seizures (consult your physician first, especially in the upper bowl), and potentially, some very expensive, very confusing set pieces. He might even wear something that makes absolutely no sense, and the Kaseya Center’s jumbotron will broadcast every bizarre detail.
He’s known for “engaging” with the audience, which could mean anything from insightful banter to shouting random phrases. Miami’s energetic crowd will either amplify this dynamic or stare blankly. Either way, it’ll be a moment. Prepare for a unique, possibly perplexing, and undoubtedly meme-able experience at the Kaseya Center.
Tyler, the Creator is playing the Kasaya Center on Monday, March 24th. Can you think of a cooler way to kick off Miami music week? Also, Spring Break for Miami Dade College and Spring Break for the public school district of Miami — can you think possibly of ever doing something cooler on a Monday night? It’s just another Monday in Miami.
