Where in Miami to Recycle Your Christmas Trees

New Year’s  has come and gone and thus now begins the daily drama of when you should take your Christmas tree down. Should you hold on to Martin Luther King Weekend or maybe hold out hope that it will last into February before it becomes a fire hazard?

Regardless of when you decide to take down your fir, there’s a better more eco-friendly solution over throwing it in your dumpster or on the curb for the sanitation department to pick up. Instead of having your tree become another piece of mass in one of our Mount Trashmores, you can instead have your tree recycled.  Miami-Dade County has ten locations where you can drop them off. You can then sleep soundly knowing that your tree will be converted into mulch for our parks.

As an added bonus if you’re looking for mulch for your own home,  starting in February you can pick up free mulch at one of the  below Trash and Recycling Centers starting in February 2019, as long as you provide proof of Miami-Dade residency.

Below are the addresses of the ten Miami-Dade locations where you can drop off your decoration free tree 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information you can call 311.
