XXXTentacion Death Tragic End To Polarizing South Florida Star

XXXTentacion is dead.

Shot dead.

An unsolved drive by in Broward.

Outside a motorcycle dealership.

The 20-year-old XXXTentacion, given name Jahseh Onfroy, has had a crazy life, by all definition. There is a must-read article in the Miami NewTimes that came out last week profiling X. It made the cover.

X’s from the Lauderhill area of Broward (it’s a rough area) and only recently the teen bought a million dollar house in Parkland.

XXXTenatcion has made headlines in recent months for a string of legal problems stemming from a 2016 domestic violence arrest.

The rapper, accused of beating his pregnant girlfriend, was slapped with 15 new felony charges in December, including witness tampering and witness harassment. He was probably looking at serious time.

The New Times article humanizes XXXtentacion whose music is leading a new wave of South Florida rap music that is blowing up.

XXXTentacion Murder Is a Tragedy

The death of XXXTentacion will cement forever the Broward bad-boy’s music. It will also likely only elevate the scene down here more as artists like Lil Pump, Ski Mask the Slump God, Wifisfuneral, and Smokepurpp will carry on this bizarre South Florida rap renaissance.

At the end of the day, there is a 20-year old dead.

Today is not a good day for South Florida.

If you don’t know X’s music, just listen to this song.
