Always – A Miami Poem

It’s always a treat

to see people we greet

when we walk down a street

in sunny South Florida.

I always want to reach

out to bathers on the beach,

one of whom is eating a peach

in sunny South Florida.

I always like to float

near a small friendly boat,

and not have to wear a coat

in sunny South Florida.

I always love to brunch

at a spot that serves lunch

to diners in a bunch

in sunny South Florida.

I always like to recall

that I had a ball

when I shopped at a mall

in sunny South Florida

I always wave to the high

colorful birds in the sky

as they hurriedly fly

in sunny South Florida.
